A place to heal your mind and body

Helping clients dealing with histories of trauma, anxiety, or depression find their path to healing using the science of the body, the modern art of talk therapy, and the ancient practice of yoga.

Do you notice……

….that as much as you want to live in this moment, you find yourself being pulled into the past or worrying about the future. You can’t focus or concentrate on your life or work. You can’t breathe, your heart races, your stomach hurts, your head aches, you feel frozen, or you feel nothing at all. You find yourself getting hooked into so many negative thoughts about yourself and worry about all the bad things that might happen. Part of you wonders if you are going crazy. Part of you wonders if it will always be like this.

Imagine that you can handle everyday stressors even better and feel more connected to the here and now. You can breathe a little easier and have a little less pain through the day. You can find yourself focusing more on the positive and excited about the future. You can release the trauma that has kept you from moving forward in your life.

Lake Norman Mind and Body Connection understands and is here to help you reach these goals and more. LKNMBC is a private counseling practice/yoga studio in the Huntersville, NC area founded by Amber Pearce, LCHMC, RYT-200. Amber created this practice in 2020 as a place to combine her years of experience in traditional talk therapy, mind/body therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting, and yoga in one location to help clients heal in the communities of Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, and northern Charlotte.

Getting Started

The first step in beginning services with Lake Norman Mind and Body Connection is to click here to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. During this consultation, Amber will gather information about your treatment needs and answer any questions you might have about the practice. At the end of the consultation, Amber will schedule a time for your assessment and send you the links to complete all treatment paperwork through a secure web site. Paperwork must be completed 24-hours prior to your scheduled appointment or the appointment will be canceled.

During your therapy assessment, you can talk more in-depth about your history, current functioning, and treatment goals. This assessment can last anywhere from 1 hour to 1.5 hours and can occur in person or virtually through the client portal. Once the assessment is complete, you and Amber will develop a plan for therapy and/or yoga and discuss treatment frequency.

In person and online therapuetic options

Lake Norman Mind And Body Connection is conveniently located in the Daetwyler Plaza off Interstate 77 exit 23. Individual therapy can be provided in person or online through Zoom. The preference is for at least the first yoga session to be in person so that Amber can ensure your safety but online sessions can be discussed.

Visiting The Office

In person therapy and yoga sessions occur in a quiet, private office located inside the Daetywler Plaza.

Walk and talk therapy sessions outside are available during nice weather.

In person sessions are often attended by trained therapy dog Cooper, Amber’s labradoodle. Cooper is a low shedding dog, but please note if you are allergic to dogs, the office might not be the best for you.
