Therapy for Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression in Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson areas of North Carolina

You don't have to carry everything on your own.

Life can become overwhelming for so many reasons. Maybe you're constantly anxious, weighed down by sadness, or carrying the effects of past memories that still seem to follow you. You may be exhausted from overthinking, feeling disconnected from yourself, or wondering why you can't simply "move on." If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone and you definitely don't have to figure it out all by yourself anymore.

I believe meaningful change happens when we treat you as a whole person, including your mind and their body. Therapy with me offers a place where you can slow down, feel heard without judgment, and begin understanding what your mind and body have been trying to tell (or even scream at) you all along. My approach combines the support of traditional talk therapy with an understanding of how the nervous system, body, and past experiences influence the way we think, feel, and respond to life.

Together we'll create a treatment plan that fits your unique needs and goals while moving at a pace that feels safest for you. I believe healing is possible, and together we can work toward helping you feel calmer, more connected, and more like yourself again.

Counseling for Trauma

Trauma doesn't always come from one major event. Sometimes it develops from years of difficult experiences, painful relationships, or feeling unsafe or unseen.

Trauma can leave you feeling stuck in the past, overwhelmed by emotions, disconnected from yourself, or constantly on alert. Through compassionate, body-aware therapy, we'll gently process these experiences so they no longer have to define your present.

My goal is to help you move beyond simply surviving and begin living with greater peace, confidence, and freedom. Click here to learn more about trauma therapy with me.

Counseling for Anxiety

Living with anxiety can feel exhausting. Your mind may never seem to slow down. You might constantly worry about what could go wrong, struggle to relax, or notice your body feeling tense, restless, or overwhelmed.

Therapy can help you understand what's driving your anxiety while learning practical skills to calm your nervous system, quiet racing thoughts, and regain a sense of control.

Imagine being able to breathe a little easier and spend more time enjoying your life instead of worrying about it. You can click here to learn more about counseling for anxiety with me.

Counseling for Depression

Depression often tells us we're alone, but I promise you that isn't true. Whether you're feeling numb, unmotivated, hopeless, or simply unlike yourself, therapy provides a supportive space to begin reconnecting with your emotions, your strengths, and the people and activities that matter most to you.

Healing doesn't happen overnight, but you don't have to walk that path alone. Click here to learn more about depression counseling with me.

EMDR

Sometimes just talking about an experience is not enough to help your brain fully heal from it. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming. Many people experience relief from trauma, anxiety, negative beliefs about themselves, and other longstanding emotional struggles through EMDR.

If you're curious whether EMDR might be right for you, I'd be happy to answer your questions. Click here to learn more about EMDR with me.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful mind-body therapy that helps access and process experiences that are often stored beyond words. By working with both the brain and nervous system, Brainspotting can help reduce emotional distress, increase resilience, and support healing from trauma, anxiety, performance concerns, grief, and many other challenges.

It can be an especially helpful option when you've tried traditional talk therapy but still feel stuck. Click here to learn more about Brainspotting with me.
